Sydney-based printer Shout Media closes its doors

Sydney-based printer Shout Media has ceased trading unexpectedly after operating since 2007.

Suppliers and printers have contacted Sprinter to confirm the business has closed and staff are now looking for alternative employment. Shout Media has failed to respond to phone calls as well as other forms of attempted contact. Sprinter understands that Shout Media director Adam Ziino addressed staff in an emotional speech last Friday to advise that the business would be closing.

Suppliers and printers who have contacted Sprinter commented that it was unfortunate to lose the business after operating for such a long time in the market. These industry contacts who regularly worked with Shout Media mentioned that increasing pressure has been building for smaller printers who have been hit with higher costs such as energy which has doubled in some cases while also being unable to manage cash flow either through depending on a small number of accounts or being impacted by a downturn in revenue through heavy discounting resulting in margins that are unsustainable to operate a business.

“Launched at the height of the GFC, Sydney-based print production company Shout Media gained traction by capitalising on increased demand from organisations for outsourced printing,” the company said on its website.

It has thrived, however, by forging collaborative relationships with its clients and maintaining a diverse pool of solutions, responsive to their ever-changing needs.

“Shout Media is far more than just a printer. We like to see ourselves as your strategic print partner. We utilise our in-house production capabilities, combined with an unrivalled network of supplier relationships to provide our clients with the best quality products. Combining old school service and communication, along with new technology to keep our clients in the driver’s seat of every job, every step of the way.”

Shout Media had a number of high profile customers in its portfolio including Muffin Break, Hawke’s Brewing, Meat & Livestock Australia, Mirvac, Toyota, Event Hospitality, Clarins, Tiffany & Co, Hungry Jack’s and Amazon.
