With just over a month to go to until the 2024 Currie Group Sign & Graphics Awards Gala Presentation Dinner, those wanting to attend should waste no time reserving a place, with spaces filling fast, according to the Australian Sign and Graphics Association (ASGA).
The Gala Dinner will be held at Daltone House in Hyde Park, Sydney, on Friday 6 September, and according to ASGA president Mick Harrold it is promising to be a true celebration of the best the industry has to offer.
“The Gala Dinner presentation will be the culmination of the industry’s leading awards, celebrating the achievement of excellence in the sign, display and graphics industry while enjoying a glamorous night of fine dining and catching up with industry colleagues and friends,” Harrold said.
“We have received well over 400 entries for this year’s awards, and our expert judges have said it is one of the toughest competitions they’ve ever seen, with the quality of work as good as any they’ve seen.
“This year’s winners can truly claim to be among the very best in Australia, if not the world, and the winning work will be an amazing showcase of what is possible in all forms of signage, displays and graphics.
“There’s also the hotly-contested ‘People’s Choice’ Award which is now open for voting on the ASGA Facebook page, so if you’ve entered, make sure you let your team and your clients know so they can vote for your entries – the entry with the most ‘likes’ will win this coveted accolade on the night,” he adds.
The biennial awards recognise and reward the achievement of excellence, and promote and encourage skills and craftsmanship, and recognise excellence in technologies and products across modern, digital and traditional signage.
As well as individual tickets, which are $195 for ASGA members and $225 for non-members, there are still a couple of tables of 10 available for booking.
“The awards dinner is a chance to encourage and reward your team and give them the opportunity to step back from the day-to-day focus of your business and celebrate being part of a diverse, dynamic and exciting sector.”
“It’s also the ideal opportunity to host your clients, particularly if you’ve entered some of their jobs but, in any event, to showcase the sector, expand their understanding of what we can help them achieve, and say ‘thanks’ for their loyalty.
“As with any event like this, numbers are limited, so if you plan to join us I’d urge you to reserve your tickets now to avoid disappointment,” Harrold said.
This year’s sponsors include: Diamond Sponsor Currie Group, Gold Sponsors Avery Dennison, Graphic Art Mart, Kwik Kopy, ORAFOL, Spandex and Visual Connections, Silver Sponsors Rowmark Australia, Roland DG, SMIB and Spicers, and Bronze Sponsors Ball & Doggett, Canon Production Printing, Celmac, HP, HVG Graphics Media and Pozitive Sign & Graphic Supplies.
