Allkotes launches first print finishing app

Trade finishing and embellishment house Allkotes has launched what it says is the world’s first print finishing app.

Allkotes business development director Darren Delaney says: “Allkotes has developed a range of unrivalled, innovative finishing solutions. The new free app will enable printers to show their customers what is available.”

“When printers are talking to customers they can use the app to help the customer understand both what is available, and what they are looking for.”

The app, available for IOS devices like iPhone and iPad, lists nine separate categories comprising some 50 different products. The categories include laminations, spot coatings, Allkotes 3D, speciality products, Micromotion, foil stamping and embossing, Mirrafilm, coatings and encapsulation.

The app is available as a free download for IOS devices. Allkotes says Android users can go to its website which is optimised for Android to see the same product range.

Delaney says: “To top off our new market friendly website, Allkotes is stepping up with the launch of our new interactive Allkotes app. Yet again we wanted to raise the bar for our customers and friends with respect to the quality and service they can provide to their customers. So we created an app as a sales tool that is easy to use?”

“Our thought process was to provide a tool that is always ready to access by bundling our range of products into IOS iphone or ipad devices. This means that printers are always able to help educate their customers.

“Let’s say your client is trying to describe an effect or a finish of what they are looking for and they aren't familiar with the product names. This is where you advise your customer to download the Allkotes app.

“And what if you are with your client and you downloaded the Allkotes app, and your client is turning to you for help, experience, guidance with their printed project. What do you do?

“The Allkotes app to the rescue with our clever photography and insightful product descriptions you are in good hands.

“For those of you on android we haven't forgotten you as our website is android ready. Save our Allkotes website as a book mark or as a favourite and you too will have will have our Allkotes product range at a click of a button.

“We hope you enjoy wide-spread use with our new app and should you want to know more about Allkotes feel free to contact us or visit our website, our team is standing by.”

Delaney says Stephen Molloy, author of How Apps are changing the World, provided expert insight and guidance in the build of the app.
