Aussies trounce Kiwis at annual Heidelberg Shield

Western Australia has restored Australia's honour by snatching back the Heidelberg Shield from New Zealand.

Steve Leonard from Worldwide Printing Solutions and Nigel Ashurst from Visy led Western Australia to victory in the annual trans-Tasman golf tournament.

Queensland finished a close second, followed by Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

Last year's winner, New Zealand, finished last.

Victoria beat Western Australia in the side bet for the WA v Victoria Shield.

The tournament was played in windy and overcast conditions at Brisbane's prestigious North Lakes Golf Club. It was held on 25 October in conjunction with the Queensland branch of the Lithographic Institute of Australia.
