Awards night booklet to promote winners to print buyers

Along with the increased circulation, the awards book has been redesigned from its traditional A5 size into a tabloid format newspaper.

Pride In Print awards manager Sue Archibald said the changes were designed to help promote print as a medium.

“We are aware that print buyers and end customers use the publication as a reference point, pointing them in the direction of companies that are leading the way in all the categories of New Zealand print.

“We are trying to spread the reach to get to a considerably wider audience,” she added.

“By going to a tabloid format we can dramatically increase our print run and distribute thousands more copies to this bigger audience.”

She said the booklet would be a more powerful sales and marketing tool by increasing the print run from 2,000 to 30,000.

Archibald also thanked the patrons and sponsors who supported the new strategy. Spicers, BJ Ball, Norske Skog and APN Print came in for special mention for donating added materials and labour support to the campaign.

The Pride in Print awards will be held on Friday 29 June at Langham Hotel in Auckland. Click here for more information.
