The distributor said a rapid increase in sales made a local facility essential because it was too expensive to send solid dies overseas when they were damaged or ran blunt.

Product manager Mark Simpson said: “Jet Technologies has invested in the necessary equipment to perform the highly skilled task of repairing and re-sharpening solid rotary dies with extensive training supplied by Kocher & Beck USA.”

The new service has been well received by clients, said sales director David Reece.

“With the possibility of repairing magnetic cylinders in the coming months Jet Technologies is certainly living up to its promise of providing an option for the Australian and New Zealand narrow web market by supplying the complete package of rotary tooling products and support.”
