Océ Australia has signed up to Canon's Partner Channel (CPC) Program and distribute products from Canon's ImageRunner, ImagePress and ImagePrograf ranges.

Canon Australia managing director Kenji Kobayashi (pictured) said: "By combining the strengths of both organisations, we create one of the industry's most comprehensive product lines and will drive innovation through expanded research and development capabilities."

Océ Australia managing director Simon Wheeler said: "This partnership gives Océ world-class technology from Canon and as such allows us to support our customers better. We are very excited about the opportunities it presents."

Canon became a majority shareholder in Océ earlier this year, in a move that was first forecast in November last year. The companies first displayed their combined product offering at May's Ipex exhibition.

Both companies will continue to trade as separate entities in Australia.
