Pakko launches Interactive Design Platform

Australian packaging company, Pakko, has unveiled its new Interactive Design Platform (IDP) which allows customers to design their own customised packaging and view it as a 3D model before ordering.

Pakko was founded in 2017 and since then has been growing steadily adding new technology, including Australia’s first four colour MTEX digital box printer, and in 2019 a merger with folding and gluing specialist, Glue4U.

This latest software release marks another important step in Pakko’s journey.

The new software allows users to design, customise and order packaging through Pakko’s website with the orders ready for despatch within 10 to 12 days.

Pakko founder and CEO, Nina Nguyen, says the new Interactive Design Platform dramatically simplifies the process of requesting a custom packaging design, receiving a quote and placing an order.

“Developed in Australia the Interactive Design Platform (IDP) allows users to design, customise and order custom packaging online directly through the Pakko website with efficiency and ease,” Nguyen said.

“The IDP allows you to customise the size, upload designs and visually view it in a 3D model before making a commitment to ordering. The platform provides an access for all businesses to be in complete creative control of their packaging.”

Pakko customers can complete this process in a few simple steps:

  • Select the box style – Choose from a few different options
  • Design – the artistic process – add logos, images & text
  • Select the desired quantity for checkout. – Instant pricing based on a tiered quantity structure
  • Within 10-12 working days the order is ready for despatch.

“We are so proud to be the first in Australia to have developed this platform for the cardboard manufacturing industry,” Nguyen said.

“We wanted to develop a platform that focuses on the user-experience, whilst bringing forth innovations and technology to revolutionise the custom packaging process. The IDP will enhance business capabilities across the board by increasing efficiency, generating instant pricing and allowing anyone on the team to create and customise orders, regardless of their graphic or design skills.”
