Chief executive Marc Margetts, who has been at the company for 22 of those 25 years, said Roland DG was turning over $300,000 when he joined and was forecast to hit $40 million this financial year.

Margetts also told guests that Roland DG had been a “technology leader” during its time in Australia and had always believed in giving back to the industry.

The Australian business not only services New Zealand, but also several countries in Southeast Asia, giving it a total market size of 650 million people, he said.

Newly promoted John Wall, who has been at Roland DG Australia for almost a decade, paid tribute to the dedication of the staff.

He said the 33-staff operation had a high staff retention rate because of Roland DG’s family atmosphere and the manner in which it brought out the best in employees.

“You’ve got to have a passion to work for this company,” he said.
