Snap launches VDP service based on Canadian software Racad

Snap Direct enables clients to personalise products such as postcards, calendars and greeting cards to create VDP campaigns.

Snap chief executive Grant Vernon told ProPrint: “We have quite close relationships with Alphagraphics and PrintThree. It was actually the chief executive of PrintThree who introduced us to this technology.”

Vernon (pictured) said that Snap Direct differs from other VDP services on the market “because the recipients name or other personal information becomes part of the actual image – for example, it can appear written in the sand of a beach scene”.

He added that customers could track their campaigns in real time by attracting client responses through personal URLS (PURLS).

He said the competitive pricing and ease-of-use set the service apart from other offerings.

The printing franchise company recently announced that it was expanding outside print and into multi-format marketing.

The system has been installed centrally and franchise operators can access it via a web portal. “The beauty of it is that users just access it through the portal and it provides them with a print-ready PDF,” said Vernon.
