Spicers expands signage machinery sales with Budde

Spicers will now sell Fotoba digital trimmers, the RollsRoller Flatbed Applicator and Wasatch computer software, which are distributed by Budde.

Budde managing director Peter Maginn has joined Spicers, where he will sell the products and work with the sales and technical support teams.

Spicers’ emerging business manager, Rohan Dean, said the Fotoba and RollsRoller range of finishing and converting systems would help businesses save time, manpower and money.

“We discovered that many printers had super-fast presses, but slow or non-existent finishing systems to complement them,” he said.

“As an example, some printers were resorting to running their presses at a slower speed, just to cope with the finishing requirements.”

Spicers displayed a Fotoba XLD 170 automatic cutter and RollsRoller Flatbed Applicator 540 at PrintCom and Visual Impact Image Expo in Sydney from 24-26 September.

It also displayed two EFI digital UV printers, the Rastek T1000 and Rastek H652.
