Women in Print seeking sponsors

The Women In Print (WiP) initiative is seeking industry sponsors to join founding sponsor Heidelberg in supporting next year’s events. Women In Print attracts hundreds of female print professionals to networking events around the country, and provides a support group for women in what has been a traditional and male dominated industry. Heidelberg has also passed o the baton of running the group to the industry, with supplier association Visual Connections and the PIAA now managing WiP. Visual Connections general manager Karen Goldsmith says the shift in sponsorship opportunities and event management is the right move for the initiative, she says, ““Heidelberg has been incredibly generous and has done a wonderful job establishing this popular program, but it is now time for it to be owned and driven by the industry.

“This move ensures it will be a collaborative exercise that represents the needs and interests of women across all facets of print and visual communications.” There will be no major changes to the running of the initiative apart from management, and is positive about the future of Women in Print. “We have always had fantastic support from the industry and already have three major sponsors on board,” she says. The sponsorship categories offered are major sponsorship at $8000 which includes logo exposure in trade media, WiP website, print banner, invitations and table cards, associate sponsorship at $5000, and supporter sponsorship at $1000. “Corporate sponsorship is a great opportunity to demonstrate support for the industry while getting your company’s name and message in front of some of the industry’s leading executives, professionals, technical specialists and production experts,” says Goldsmith. The 2016 Women in Print breakfast series will be held during May in 2016. All sponsorship enquiries should be directed to Tom Sullivan at Printing Industries on (02) 8789 7300 or tom@printnet.com.au
